Julia began dancing when she was three years old at Intrigue Dance and Performing Arts Center. She performed with their company for four years and also performed in the Ballet Legere 30th Anniversary Nutcracker. This will be her second year dancing at Extensions as part of the Extensions Too! Company. Julia loves that dance affords her the chance to be creative and express herself through movement and working together as a group to create unique shapes and imagery.

Over the summer, Julia enjoyed attending the Gus Giordano Intensive, the Giordano Ballet and Leaps and Turns intensives, the River North Summer Workshop, and the Extensions Dance Junior Intensive. She met many spectacular artists that pushed her and helped activate new facets of her dancing, including Kim Sagami, Jeff Hancock, Ricky Ruiz, Julie Nakagawa, and the faculty of River North Dance Company as a part of their summer intensive.

Julia feels as if Extensions is her second home, and she is grateful to have made many long-lasting friendships. She especially thanks Lizzie MacKenzie for her creative guidance, instruction, and the opportunities she has given her.

Outside of dance Julia enjoys cooking, reading, hiking and listening to music.
