Isabelle Dayton

Isabelle Dayton, 18, Lake Forest, Illinois
Lake Forest High School

This is Isabelle’s second year with Extensions Dance Company, and she is very excited to be training with such talented dancers under the instruction and creative influence of Lizzie MacKenzie and the amazing faculty at Extensions.

Isabelle started dancing when she was three years old and has never stopped. She trained and performed in groups with LoMastro Performing Arts Academy just prior to joining Extensions. Last summer, in addition to training at Extensions and participating in their intensive, she attended the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago intensive and the River North Dance Chicago college workshop.

Isabelle loves all styles of dance, especially contemporary, and enjoys the musicality and creativity that she can express through dance. Isabelle hopes to continue dance through college and beyond as a professional dancer. Over the years, Isabelle has had the honor of performing works by many outstanding choreographers. This year, she is looking forward to performing in pieces created by Lizzie MacKenzie, Garth Johnson, Adam Barruch, Taylor Mitchell, Anna Long and Ariel (AJ) Juarez.

At Lake Forest High School, Isabelle enjoys singing in the school choir, is a teaching assistant in dance class, and an NHS member. When Isabelle is not dancing, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and with her dog, Cosmo.

Isabelle would like to thank her parents and sister for their love and support, and her dance teachers, past and present, for their training and guidance.  She would especially like to thank Lizzie for her tremendous support, mentorship and inspiration.
